Katarzyna Rogowiec and Marian Balaz in top form for the Paralympics 2010
Film footage on the medal hopes of the Paralympics

With a bronze medal at the last World Cup in January at Oberried, Germany, Katarzyna Rogowiec is in top form for the upcoming Paralympic Winter Games in Vancouver.
The 32 year old lost both hands in an accident as a child. The upcoming Paralympics will be the first where she will not only compete in Cross Country skiing but also in Biathlon. Katarzyna Rogowiec has already won two gold medals in Cross Country skiing at the Paralympic Games in 2006.

Marian Balaz from Slovakia is visually impaired and has only 20% sight in one eye. The Paralympics in Vancouver will be his third Paralympic Games but the first where he is starting without a guide. That this is not so easy can be seen in his crash with the French contender Thomas Clarion at the recent World Cup at Oberried (GER).

More about their personal stories and sport can be found in the film footage and the information graphics that were produced jointly with the athletes.

Besides Katarzyna Rogowiec and Marian Balaz, the documentaries “Paralympic Moments“ also
feature the following athletes and teams:
- Martin Braxenthaler / Monoski / Germany
- Danja Haslacher / Alpine Skiing / Austria
- Tyler Walker / Monoskiing / USA
- Ice Sledge Hockey / Team Canada
